Ryu, Chun-Li and possibly Peter Griffin are joining Fortnite
Street Fighter’s Ryu and Chun-Li will be playable characters in Fortnite soon. Epic Games announced Fortnite’s next crossover by opening a portal to Street Fighter’s iconic Suzaku Castle stage.
Shortly after opening the portal, developer Epic Games teased the upcoming crossover by introducing the new characters in a short video. Players can pick up a package deal with the new skins in Fortnite’s virtual shop for 2.200 V-Bucks (± €20). This includes Ryu and Chun-Li’s alternate skin, built-in Shoryuken and Lightning Kick gestures, a backpack accessory and a loading screen. If you’re looking to buy just one of the skins, It will still cost you about 15 euros.
Even though the Street Fighter crossover has just begun, it looks like Epic Games is already gearing up for the next one. According to recent leaks by data miners, a crossover between Fortnite and Family Guy is currently in the works. This would mean that players can dress up as Peter Griffin while teaming up with Kratos, Ryu and Master Chief. The immensely popular Fortnite just keeps on getting more and more franchises together in one virtual place.
Fortnite is an online third-person shooter developed by Epic Games and released in 2017. In this free-to-play battle royale game, up to 100 players fight to be the last person standing.
Fortnite is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
