Mario Golf: Super Rush releases June 25th for Nintendo Switch
Nintendo announced a new entry in the Mario Golf series during its latest Direct presentation. The new game is called Mario Golf: Super Rush and will be hitting Nintendo Switch on June 25th.
Just like the previous Mario Golf games, Super Rush is being developed by Camelot Software. The game can be played by using only one Joy-Con controller and players can choose whether they want to make use of the motion controls, or traditional button inputs. Nintendo has already confirmed that there will be a large roster of playable Mario characters available in the game, and from the looks of it, characters can be dressed up in all kinds of silly costumes. Aside from the usual multiplayer game modes, Mario Golf: Super Rush will also include a new mode titled Speed Golf and a Story Mode. Different from all other modes, the Story Mode features a Mii avatar as the playable character.
The first Mario Golf game was developed by Camelot Software and published by Nintendo in 1999. In the series, Mario and his friends play golf on various Mario-themed courses. Mario Golf followed NES Open Tournament Golf, a golf game developed by Nintendo itself.
Mario Golf: Super Rush launches on June 25th on Nintendo Switch.
