New Pokémon Snap hits Nintendo Switch on April 30
Nintendo announced that the sequel to Pokémon Snap will be released for Nintendo Switch on April 30. The game goes by the name New Pokémon Snap and will see players explore the Lental region. Similar to the original game released for N64 in 1999, players control a photographer who is looking to capture the beautiful scenery of the Lental Region. According to the official website of New Pokémon Snap, the ecosystem of the Lental Region contains a great biodiversity, resulting in a wide range of pokémon species.
According to the website, players will collaborate with local pokémon expert Professor Mirror, who looks a lot like an older version of the protagonist from its predecessor. Together, the player and Mirror will run an ecological survey to photograph all Lental Pokémon thriving in nature. The gameplay seems to be very similar to the original game. Players will board a vehicle known as the Neo-One and travel to the most remote places of the region to fill up their Pokédex with the most beautiful pictures of every pokémon.
2021 marks the 25th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise, which probably means that there is a lot more Pokémon news to come.
