Massive Fallout: New Vegas mod The Frontier releases after 7 years of development
A huge addition to the decade old Fallout: New Vegas completely developed by fans, is finally released after a 7 year long production process.
Obsidian’s Fallout: New Vegas first came out back in 2010. The action role-playing game received some good review scores back then and still has a loyal fan base. The latest mod is living proof of that enthusiastic following. The mod, created by a passionate group of dozens of community members, is called The Frontier and has been in development for over seven years. The expansion-sized mod adds an entirely new storyline to the game, which is set in the wasteland of Portland.
The mod can be downloaded for free on various designated websites. Although the release of the long-anticipated expansion did result in some of these websites crashing. This only goes to show how popular this fan-made expansion really is. The size of this mod currently stands at almost 20GB and will only get bigger each update. According to the creators of the mod, The Frontier adds real life landmarks and three new quest lines which each take up to 15 hours to complete.
The Frontier is available now on various mod websites and will launch on Steam next week.
