Hogwarts Legacy delayed to 2022
The upcoming Harry Potter spin-off game Hogwarts Legacy has been delayed to 2022. The delay was announced by publisher Warner Bros via a statement on the official Twitter account of Hogwarts Legacy.
“We would like to thank fans from around the world for the tremendous reaction to the announcement of Hogwarts Legacy from our Portkey Games label,” the developer said.
The message continues with the notion that the developer will take all the time they need so that they can create the best possible experience for all of the Wizarding World and gaming fans.
Hogwarts Legacy is being developed by Avalanche Software and was first revealed during a PlayStation 5 showcase. The game will be a third-person action-adventure taking place during the 1800’s. The project is being overseen by a new Harry Potter division called Portkey Games. Hogwarts Legacy will give players the chance to explore the world of Harry Potter for themselves and uncover all secrets hidden in the British wizarding school.
Hogwarts Legacy will launch in 2022 on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.
